Interson Corporation (www.interson.com) will be highlighting its SeeMore USB™ Ultrasound Imaging probes at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology annual meeting, May 17 - 19 ( booth #415) and at the American Urological Association annual meeting May 29 – 31 (booth # 4129.) Both meetings are being held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.
According to Roman Solek, President of Interson, “Point-of-care ultrasound is getting a lot of attention these days, and we are encouraged to see that our approach is being validated by many significant players.(*) We continue to introduce new applications, and are now able to connect directly to the GE Centricity Electronic Medical Record System via an interface bridge, as jointly developed with the Polaris-Danforth Corporation, a first in the industry.”
SeeMore is the first ultrasound probe that plugs directly into the USB port of a laptop or netbook, and does not require any other external power source. SeeMore, with its unique open architecture design, offers users greater flexibility at a lower cost than other hand-held systems, and gives the user a choice of screen size and probe type, unlike the other fixed-screen size units that offer only one probe. Interson offers application-specific probes for abdominal scanning, endocavity scanning, vascular scanning, and more. Built-in bladder volume and obstetric calculations, image storage and image sharing further increase the utility of the system.
(*) GE Vscan, Acuson/Siemens P10, Signostics are examples.
