These videos were taken with either the Abdominal or Small Parts probe. Trans-vaginal and trans-rectal probes are also available. The endo-cavity probes use the same imaging engine as the Small Parts probe with a longer shaft on the housing. A variety of applications are shown to give you an idea of the range of applications and the image quality you can expect with Interson USB ultrasound probes.
Bladder Volume
The Abdominal probe is used for displaying and measuring the bladder volume.
The Abdominal probe is designed for 4 cm to 20 cm imaging. It can be pulsed at 3.5 MHz and 5 MHz to optimize resolution versus depth of penetration.
Bladder imaging is used in Primary Care, Urology, Long Term Care, Acute Care, and Rehab.

Carotid, Jugular,Thyroid
The Small Parts probe is used for Biopsies, Regional Anethesia, and imaging of small glands / structures.
The Small Parts probe is designed for 0.5 cm to 4 cm imaging. It can be pulsed at 7.5 MHz to 24 MHz to optimize resolution versus depth of penetration.
Small Parts imaging is used in Primary Care, Anethesiology, eFAST, and Emergency Room.
OB GYN - Fetus
The Abdominal probe is used for observing teh fetus and measuring gestational age.
Calculations include: Crown Rump, Bi-Parietal Diameter, Gestational Sac, Femur Length, Head and Abdominal Circumference, Amniotic Fluid Index, and Bladder Volume.
The abdominal probe is used in Rural Health Care, and for low cost, portable OB GYN pre-screening.
Liver, Kidney
The Abdominal probe is used for Liver, Kidney, Bladder, Abdominal Aorta, and Gall Bladder imaging.
Pre-screening for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, AAA, can be performed. Kidney and Gall Bladder stones can be observed at less than 1 mm.
Abdominal imaging is used in Primary Care, and FAST, Focused Assessment Sonography Trauma, exams.
Carotid Intima-Media
The Small Parts probe is used for displaying and measuring carotid intima-media thickness, CIMT.
Artherosclerotic cardiovascular disease can be observed and monitored.
The probe is placed on the neck longitudinally with a depth setting of 3 cm and a pulse frequency of 24 MHz.
Primary Care screens for CIMT as and indicator of impending stroke.
Gall Bladder
The Abdominal probe is ideal for montitoring the Gall Bladder for proper function and the presence of stones.
The Abdominal probe can be set to depths of 10 cm, 15 cm, and 20 cm to accomodate a wide variety of patients.
The probe is placed in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen between the lowest two ribs and aimed up towards the left shoulder.
